Plastic Bag Bag
You Will Need:
Old plastic bags
Old shoelaces
An iron and ironing board
Grease-proof paper
Strong tape
Stiff cardboard
Shred the plastic bags into small strips and lay these between two sheets of grease-proof paper. Mix coloured strips to create a pattern for your bag.
With the help of a grown up, set the iron to a low heat and move it gently over the top sheet of the grease-proof paper – as it warms the pieces of plasctic bag it will fuse them together. With the help of a grown up, set the iron to a low heat and move it gently over the top sheet of the grease-proof paper – as it warms the pieces of plasctic bag it will fuse them together.
Using the same process, iron the plastic bag pattern you have created to a thicker plasctic bag –such as a bin liner. Repeat this process, adding more layers, until you have created a thick patterned sheet from which to build your bag.

Create templates from stiff cardboard. You’ll need two equal sized squares for the front and back of your bag and three equal sized rectangles (the same length as the squares) to make the sides and bottom of your bag. Lay each of the templates onto your patterned sheet and cut around them to create the sections of your bag.
To finish your design, cut out a skull and crossbones from another old plastic bag, and repeating Step 2, iron it to the front section of your bag.
Stick the sections of the bag together using strong tape, then make holes at the top and thread shoelaces through to create a handle.
You can use the same process to make a pencil case or even an apron.

Communication Lines
Communication Lines
You Will Need:
• dry-wipe pen,
• lolly sticks,
• paint,
• paper fastener,
• bead,
• film cannister,
• lid,
• card,
• string,
• The telegraph poles are made by sticking two large lolly sticks together, with two smaller lolly sticks in a cross shape.
• Paint in a wood colour and then add a woodgrain effect by using a black permanent pen.
• The conductors are made from paper fasteners and beads. Just thread a bead onto a paper fastener.
• then sandwich in between the two smaller lolly sticks. Secure in place by opening out the paper fastener. Make four conductors in total for each telegraph pole.
• The bases of the poles are made by sticking a 35mm film canister to a crisp tube lid. Fill the film canister with modelling clay, and use green card to create a grassy effect.
• Stick each telegraph pole into the modelling clay, like this.
• Just thread string in between both telegraph poles and then hang up pictures of your friends.
• The pictures should be cut to the same size, and covered in clear sticky back plastic so that you can write you friend's details on with a dry wipe or non-permanent overhead projector pen.
• And that's how to keep your Finger Tips communication line buzzing!

Crisp Packet bracelet
Crisp Packet bracelet
You Will Need:
Scissors
Cardboard
Crisp packets
Marker pen
Instructions
Step 1
Take a clean crisp packet and cut along the seam at the back and then along the base. Open the crisp packet out. Repeat the process until you have a stack of opened out packets.
Step 2
Make a template from old card (20cm x 10cm) , lay it over the opened out crisp packets and draw around it with a marker pen. Cut out the rectangle shapes you have drawn on each packet.
Step 3
Now you need to create components to build your crisp packet fashions. To make one component: Take your rectangle and fold it in half lengthways – this leaves a crease down the middle of the rectangle. Open this out and fold both the edges lengthways to the centre crease and fold in half. You should now have a long thin rectangle. Fold this rectangle in half lengthways and then fold two edges into the centre crease and fold in half again.
Step 4
Once you’ve made several components you need to slot them together. Take one component and locate the two flaps along its edges. Take a second component and slot each end into one of the flaps. The two components should now be joined together, forming an ‘L’ shape. Repeat this process to link several components together.
Step 5
Gradually they should start to form a long strip that you can use a belt or bracelet. When your belt or bracelet is ready, use another component to link it together. To do this, open a component out along its first two sets of folds and slot it through the flaps of the last component at one end of your bracelet/belt. Pull it through halfway, so the two ends of the linking component stick out. Tuck these into the flaps at the other end of the bracelet/belt to complete your creation. Alternatively you could use some Velcro or sticky tape!

X-Ray Telescope
X-Ray Telescope
You Will Need:
• A sweet tube
• A round chip cone
• Some lolly pop sticks
• Some black and silver card or paint
• Take a sweet tube and carefully cut it, a third of the way down.
• Flatten out the small part and cut a semi circle out of either end.
• Put the two pieces of sweet tube together like this.
• The semi circles you cut into the smaller part will help it join.
• Paint the whole thing, or cover it in silver and black card.
• To make the stand, stick three sweet tubes around a chip cone in a tripod formation, and glue some lolly sticks on the tubes.
• aint it all however you like.
• Balance your telescope on top of the stand. You could add some film canister lids for extra effect.
• Now it's ready to use! Look through the telescope, placing your hand to the side of it.
• It will look as though there's a hole in your hand!
Raining Cats And Dogs
Raining Cats And Dogs
You Will Need:
• Two bowls
• Five plastic cups
• Some paper maché
• Lots of lengths of wool
• An elastic strap
• Some cling film
• Some water balloons
• Some A4 pieces of card
• Try and catch the water balloon cats and dogs in the upside down umbrellas - complete with comedy wigs!
• To make the game, get your Finger Tips on two bowls.
• One of the bowls needs to be able to fit over your head and the other one needs to be a bit bigger.
• Cover them both in two layers of cling film.
• To get the umbrella shape, you'll need about five plastic cups.
• Cut off the bottom and carefully cut up the side.
• Bend the cup back on itself, so that you get a crease in the middle.
• Then turn the bowl over and tape the cup on like this.
• Continue all the way round with the other cups to get the umbrella shape.
• Add some paper maché to the bottom of the head bowl - just cover the base for the time being.
• Go carefully when doing this because it might be quite heavy especially if the bowl is made from glass!
• Cover both bowls with at least 3 layers of paper maché.
• Make sure the joint in between the two bowls is really strong.
• Leave it to dry for a couple of days.
• The paper maché needs to be thoroughly dry before you try to remove the bowls, plastic cups and cling film.
• When it's dry you can paint it - this one's done in Finger Tips colours!
• Don't forget to paint the inside as well.
• Then for comedy effect, and maximum comfort, you can add a crazy wig.
• Do this by sticking on lots of lengths of wool.
• Add on an elastic chin strap.
• The rain for the cats and dogs game comes from filling water balloons.
• Stick on some card legs and a couple of card ears. You could even use a left over strand of wool for the tail!
• So don't be a wet weekend, make the Raining Cats and Dogs game!
Fingers And Thumb
Fingers And Thumb
You Will Need:
• Some sheets of coloured card
• A shoebox
• Some wooden kebab skewers
• Some beads
• Some cotton reels
• A crisp tube container
• Glue down four rows of coloured squares onto either a cardboard box card or polystyrene base.
• Lie them out so that the diagonal is as big as your outstretched hand.
• For the decision maker, simply paint a shoebox whichever way you like.
• Carefully cut some wooden kebab skewers down so that they're slightly wider than the shoebox.
• Onto each skewer thread a bead, a cotton reel and a crisp pot that you can make a hole through.
• On the other side of the crisp pot, thread another cotton reel and a bead, to keep it in place.
• Now make four slits down the shoebox, about as deep as the crisp pots and far enough away from each other so that the pots will be able to spin.
• Slot the rollers in, with the beads sticking out.
• Next, for the diagrams on the rollers. One needs to indicate a finger or thumb, and the other a coloured square.
• Draw them on cardboard first and stick them round the crisp pots.
• Don't forget to cut two windows into the lid of your shoebox with an arrow on each so that you'll be able to spin and see what decision has been made by the spinner.
• To play the game, take it in turns to spin!
• If, for example, the roller lands on yellow and the other lands on the thumb picture, you must put your thumb on a yellow square!
• Keep going - it gets much trickier as the game progresses...
