Big Head Masks

Big Head Masks

Why not make your own Big Head Mask?

What to do:

Step 1

Part 1
Gather together all the things that you need to make the Big Head Mask.

Step 2

Part 2
Put the two strips of paper together in one long line and add some sticky tape at the join. Pick up the long strip and put it around your head. When you find a good fit hold it in position, take it off your head and add some sticky tape to fix it in place. You should now have a loop that fits around your head. You may want to ask an adult to help as it is a bit tricky.

Step 3

Part 3
Now using a new piece of coloured card, draw a shape starting at the bottom. Cut the shape out. This is your monsters head.

Step 4

Part 4
For the hair take a different piece of coloured paper and tear some little jagged pieces. Stick these on top of the monster head. For the eyebrows tear out some bushy eyebrow shapes from the same piece of paper that you used for the hair. Stick these to the monster head using the glue stick. Using the black pen draw some wavy lines on the monster head.

Step 5

Part 5
For the bolts take some silver card and draw two 'T' shapes. Carefully cut these out but remember to be careful when using scissors as they are sharp. Glue the bolts either side of the monster head.

Step 6

Part 6
Take the loop that you made earlier. Turn the monster head over and stick the loop on to the head using the glue stick. Once it is dry you can try it on! You can also make a werewolf mask with shaggy hair and pointy ears or a giant egg head mask with cotton wool hair and eyebrows.
This should take about 15 mins
